Research Interests: Gene and cell therapies have the potential for curing diseases and cancer. The most common gene delivery method is viral vectors, specifically recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV); however, the production of rAAV can be inefficient and inconsistent leading to an extremely expensive cost for therapy. Using synthetic biology tools and process engineering principles, we aim to develop the underpinning of a robust rAAV production process.
