Research Interests: James Van Antwerp is interested in translating the laboratory advances of synthetic biology to transformative clinical and industrial processes. His current project involves development of mammalian cell lines optimized for the incorporation of non-standard amino acids into biopharmaceutical proteins. He is currently co-advised between the Kunjapur and Lee labs.
