As the genome sequence information of Chinease hamster ovary (CHO) cells is available and more genome information of many different host and product cell lines are expected, it is very interesting to interrogate what or how many sequence variants exist and how they impact the cellular process of producer cell lines. A visualization tool that efficiently shows these variants is being developed and this will likely provide valuable leads to cellular engineering of CHO cells to improve culture processes.
